Propagate

i was watching night at the museum, and in that there was that big head of a statue that always tells larry: you new dum-dum. you give me gum-gum, that actually sounds funnier in Hungarian to tell you but anyway I just want to hint some clue where it came from, I mean my new drawing. I was told that the meaning of the word propagate got something to do with those lots of desperate thoughts out there and in there looking for connection. there are kerjillions of them perhaps even more and it’s too big of a number to cope with on a single sheet and then I was wondering what it could be like in the real world where 2 of those gigantic island heads would face each other and there’d be no gum-gum, and no dum-dum and of course they couldn’t move and i think there would be a spider who’d carry from one mouth to the other each and every piece of the things whirling deep inside of those rock minds. well it’s a hard work to do for only one spider so i drew his deputy too. my favorite head is the one with the flag hair. it is really a she. the boy says hé that is ha in English like in ha, I knew she was hiding something but we don’t know of course what she’s hiding as you see I cross lined her words for it is only between the two heads. me and the spider keep our lips sealed.

Some of my recent sketches

this is the magic mushroom with my big heart tattooed on the middle of its round flat head and me as a fairy peeking out from the back of the stem. I know it looks like we are flying but it’s only because this is just a sketch. I don’t know. we might really flying. while drawing I was thinking of love. and of course friendship that’s very important too. during making the picture I was peeping over to my newt blowing bubbles with my 2 tiny clawed frogs. it drew a nice smile on my face. My dad and mom are left out. they were possibly working at that time. beneath it stands Cleopatra’s sarcophagus. next to it there’s a denture that looks a lot like my godparent, krisztián. obviously my godparent is not a set of false teeth but a cartoonist or will be and loves space creatures very much. (top secret: he keeps a very scary plastic alien doll on his desk and draws childsoulsucking metal boxes. kind of barbarian isn’t it?) then there are spongebob and patrik from tv. At the bottom there is a figure that was supposed to be catwoman but at the end of the day it became a devilgirl who’s I have to confess a bit like me.

Adrift

mom asked me what would come to my mind on the word adrift. I said nothing and went on doing what I ‘d been doing but when I had to go to bed it just popped out of my head all at once – my bathing toys might just fit it perfectly. And she gave me 15 minutes. she always does. at first I drew our tub but it was no good looking at all and the bath screen made it just as odd as a big steamroller with my head in the cockpit and the water itself couldn’t be seen but the peak parts of the toys. awful! then I was advised to draw an easier shape so picked our old tub instead in which I used to snorkel a lot under soapy suds which is a great fun but cannot practice these days cos I’ve been forced to take shower instead. anyway as far as I can recall that tub looked something familiar to what you can see on your screen right now.it was dad who told me that it would be interesting if I tried to put it down from my leggy spider friend’s eye view so my adrift toys would be more visible. and he was right. i decided not to draw all of my toys and only the duck was chosen this time however I can’t play with it it anymore cos it was given to my cousin when I thought a toy like that was too childish for a first grade student but now brings back happy memories and a tiny bit I regret having given it to my cousin even although I know very well I shouldn’t let this kind of feeling overtake my good self but that duck even could make the quacklike sound (like bubbled on the picture where háp means quack in English) by being squeezed and it squirted bubbling water all around. I think my blue is very nice for water and it’s really like my duck would be drifting across the tub, isn’t it? if I had had the time and made no a big duck like that I’d have drawn myself on the picture as well.

Focused

At school I drew a horse that was pretty well done. I was so pleased with it that as I got home took a pencil and made this racehorse with the jockey riding on it who’s so much focusing to take the fence. the theme’s based on my memories of last summer’s horse riding camp. the jockey’s not me. we were not allowed to take our chances on the fence however there were jumpable low fences that even a rookie like me could easily manage to get through. I could only dreaming of it. that’s all for now cos I’m getting tired. couldn’t even watch the end of the catwoman. what a mercy I’ve already watched it thousand times. Ps.: those things on the middle of the horizon are not the silhouettes of a farm or something far away but horse poo what’s everywhere on the field.

A mai dolgaim / The way my things are today

Most beteg vagyok. Tüszős mandula gyulladásom van. Így lemaradok a Hattyúk taváról. Helyette majd rajzolok valami szépet. Vége!

I’m ill now. Have spotted sore throat. Therefore I will miss Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake in Palace of Arts, Budapest. Anyway stuck in my bed I’m gonna draw something nice instead. LiLi out!

A világ összes szép állata Lili szerint / All the Beautiful Creatures of the Planet According To Lili

this one I’m going to post to an inter-national children’s art competition by UNICEF. I’ve got plenty of time till April but I was able to finish it in one hour. Nice isn’t it? Of course there’s a lot more beautiful creature around our planet. these are some of them. mom says they are not colorful enough but I think otherwise and it’s my drawing, right? the elephant and the whale are so funny. I think I’ve made a good job.

Hatch

I didn’t want to upload any of my drawings this week but my parents persuaded me to link this one which is their favorite drawing of mine from the age of 5. it shows a newborn little ostrich hatching and her mother. I see that they are not like the ones in the zoo (and daddy keeps saying they are ducks because of the beak and the duckling color but he’s wrong! okey?!) I was kindergartener and it was one of my first attempt to draw something by my mom’s wacom tablet and pen and it’s not that easy at the first try at all and the program we use is very difficult and after those years I’ve still been quit confused by shortcuts and what to click on and why.
